Counterculture

By night we switch over to the other side of the bar for pintxos- inspired by San Sebastian small plates with big taste

Counterculture is STAX’s wild and rebellious older sister, probably the kind that reads Marxist literature, drinks bootleg gin, and smashes through glass ceilings. She only comes out at night or on a Sunday afternoon. She is the cosy candlelit bar where you come with friends to share some pintxos+ small plates, drink some thoughtfully sourced beverages, and have a good time. She was born from our love of outlaws, food and bringing people together.

We created counterculture for ourselves, as a place to enjoy great food and inspire revolutionary conversations!

No reservations (except if you have over 6 people)

We really wanted to have a strict no-reservations policy as we love having a small bustling space where you can just stroll off the beach without plans. However, we also know that it is sometimes really nice to meet with all your friends and all be able to sit together so if you know you will be coming with a group of more than 6 please give us as much warning as possible so that we can reserve a table for you.
